ABIGAIL BLAYLOCK
Abby knew early on that she wanted a career in public relations, so she blazed a trail that led to work at a Fortune 100 company, interviews on local TV and radio and reporting from the Cannes Film Festival before she even graduated college. Her trademark drive and determination make her a welcome addition to many account teams, including Gretsch and Primrose.
She is especially adept at social media and often is tapped to coach our clients on these fast-evolving communication channels. Internally, she co-chairs our Social Media Team, which keeps our colleagues in touch with the new world of Twitter, Flickr and wikis.
A fourth-generation Bulldog, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia after earning two bachelor’s degrees: in Public Relations from the Grady School of Journalism and in Marketing from the Terry College of Business. Her academic and extracurricular achievements resulted in a variety of honors, including a profile on UGA’s web site as an “Amazing Student.”
Abby is an alumna of the prestigious Terry College Institute for Leadership Advancement, so it is no surprise that she was elected president of the UGA PRSSA chapter, assistant director of the organization’s student-run PR firm and as the Athens Coordinator for the Multiple Sclerosis Walk. She also served as chairman of the “Bulldogs for the Brain Train,” lobbying Georgia legislators for rapid rail between Athens and Atlanta.
Abby is a native of Marietta who now lives in Atlanta. She hits spin class for exercise and browses the aisles of local bookstores when she needs to unwind.
