CLAIRE GUAPPONE
Claire’s versatile writing style and wide-ranging skills established her as a go-to team member soon after she joined us in 2007. She lists copywriting, media outreach and Web content management as just a few of her “favorite things” on the consumer, financial and crisis clients she supports. She currently contributes to the Orkin, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP account teams.
She’s a summa cum laude graduate with a major in Strategic Communications and a minor in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Both studies were put to the test during an advertising practicum in London where she worked on an integrated marketing communications assignment for Burger King United Kingdom. During college, she served as president of her university’s Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter and also worked for the internal communications department of Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., a medical device manufacturer owned by Johnson & Johnson. While there, she drafted everything from intranet copy to crisis plans.
Claire impressed us from the get-go with her quiet confidence. A life-long Ohioan, she launched her career in Atlanta, far away from the familiarity of college and family connections. Today, she has contacts aplenty as a very active member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Georgia Chapter. She serves as the organization’s buddy program chair, connecting new members with seasoned Atlanta PR veterans.
Claire has a passion for the classics, including a love for black and white films, Jane Austen’s novels and Audrey Hepburn’s style. A vegetarian since junior high, Claire finds her creative inspiration in the kitchen, where she enjoys concocting tasty meals that surprise and delight her unsuspecting carnivorous friends. She also recently started tennis lessons and looks forward to joining a league to showcase her new skills.
