ELLIE SHAVIN

Ellie came to Jackson Spalding as an intern in 2006, still unsure about how she would plug in her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and her minor in Sociology. Lucky for us, she discovered that public relations gave her the chance to learn about a variety of industries and work with many types of people, thus satisfying her quest for a world view.

An honors graduate from the University of Georgia, Ellie is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and was a Presidential Scholar all but one semester of her college career. She also managed to have a lot of fun in Bulldog Country, volunteering for the Entertainment and Dawgs After Dark divisions of the University Student Union.

Her brainpower is an asset to several Jackson Spalding clients, most notably the Georgia Research Alliance, which allows her to stay connected to her beloved alma mater.

One of her most exciting life experiences so far was her study abroad through the GLOBIS Center for Global Understanding in Verona, Italy. While traveling through Europe, she ventured alone to Paris and confirms that it truly is a magical and romantic city in April — even if you are seeing it for the first time all by yourself.

Ellie loves to cook and we’ve experienced that first-hand during our Thanksgiving potluck event. Her hash brown casserole is a staff favorite that is sure to become a Jackson Spalding classic. When she’s not serving our clients or serving up tasty treats, you might find Ellie trying out her serve on the tennis court. She got acquainted with a racquet in college and is having a lot of fun learning the game.
