HALLE SMITH

Halle came to Jackson Spalding Dallas in 2009 after serving as marketing and PR specialist at Current Energy, a Dallas-based company that provides energy efficiency solutions for commercial and residential customers. Her experience with this progressive organization touched on everything from speech writing to tradeshow coordination, and cemented her career aspirations in public relations. She brings this kaleidoscope of skills to a variety of JS clients, including Primrose, Woodall Rodgers Park and Carry the Torch.

She had prior sales experience with The Texas Wasatch Group, an independent insurance brokerage firm. There, she learned the importance of relationship-building, which allowed her to exceed sales goals month after month.

Halle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Studio Art from The Dedman College of Southern Methodist University, melding her lifelong interests in research, sociology and photography. Following graduation, she also earned a certificate in Business from the Summer Business Institute at SMU’s Cox School of Business.

She spent eight months in Australia as an exchange student at Bond University where she forged two of her closest friendships that now continue in Dallas. Through the complexity of crossing time zones during her Aussie-bound flight, she also managed to skip out on her 21st birthday, which was lost in translation from Pacific to Australian Eastern Standard Time. She says this quirky coincidence forever gives her license to remain cagey about her age.

Halle is a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, which explains why one of her two Labradors is named Buckeye. Today she lives in University Park where she captures the Dallas joie de vivre with her photo-journalist eye.
