CHAD SOUR
Chad grew up in Shreveport, La. and fully intended to work in state politics before a friend convinced him to interview with one of the largest independent public relations firms in Dallas. That diversion suited him to a T and he’s been racking up award-winning client projects in the Lone Star State since 2005.
He came to Jackson Spalding in 2010 after supporting Moroch│PR, a division of Moroch, an integrated marketing company with 38 offices around the U.S. While there, he focused on opinion leader strategy and social media consulting for brands such as Western Union and Ronald McDonald House Charities. In fact, he was on the winning team for the first-Texas PR Association “Silver Spur Award” for a social media campaign he launched for Mattress Giant.
He began his career at Vollmer Public Relations where he contributed to campaigns for Travelocity, Rosewood Crescent Hotel and NOBU Dallas, among others.
Chad graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a minor in Philosophy. His college years were punctuated with interesting internships at the U.S. Department of Justice, the Texas Senate and a public affairs firm where he briefly rubbed shoulders with Former Texas Governor Ann Richards.
When he’s not promoting our clients, he’s promoting the Dallas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) where he serves as Membership Chair and on the Executive Committee. He is also active in the Dallas Social Media Club.
Chad still has a passion for New Orleans and he returns there each year to ring in the New Year with a close circle of friends. In 2005, this group traded in their party horns for hardhats, helping to refurbish a school damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Chad gets jazzed up by such challenges, and we are glad he’s a part of our crew.
