Jackson Spalding Hires HR Specialist Tamestrius McWhorter

Atlanta-based Agency Continues to Expand

ATLANTA (May 14, 2007) - Jackson Spalding, the Atlanta-based image creation, cultivation and communications firm, has named Tamestrius McWhorter to oversee Human Resources.

"Tamestrius has a track record of improving administrative processes with measurable results," said Bo Spalding, co-founder. "Her experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our client roster and add staff in two geographic locations."

Prior to joining Jackson Spalding, McWhorter spent five years as the Human Resources Manager for ARGYLE Solutions, Inc. In this position, she was responsible for recruiting, orienting and training new hires, and she also redesigned the internal recruiting process. By improving on-going training, professional development and management coaching, she reduced staff turnover by 7 percent.

McWhorter harnessed her coordinating and organizing skills during her previous 4-year tenure as a research liaison for the University of Georgia's Institute for Behavioral Research. She served as a point of contact between research administrators and participants, while also coordinating partnerships with community outreach agencies to aid recruitment of participants.

Her knowledge of human resources comes both from experience and extensive training and education. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and completed her master's degree in Public Administration from Piedmont College in May 2001. She further honed her HR skills by obtaining a Human Resources Generalist Certificate from Kennesaw State University in April 2003.

She is currently working on her Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University.
