Emily came to Jackson Spalding as an intern and we couldn’t let her get away. She contributes to our work for The Coca-Cola Company, diving into all kinds of projects ranging from trade communications to promotions for the World of Coca-Cola.
An honors graduate of the University of Alabama, Emily originally thought she wanted to teach Elementary Education, but switched over to Communication and Information Sciences by her second semester. The change suited her, as she earned a perfect 4.0, majoring in public relations and minoring in business and political science.
During college Emily gained practical marketing experience through Atlanta internships and Capstone Agency projects for Alabama Medicaid and EcoCAR3. The latter involved promoting an engineering school competition to build a hybrid electric Chevrolet Camaro. She also was Director of Web-based Communications for the Public Relations Student Society of America’s (PRSSA) Tuscaloosa chapter, redesigning the chapter’s website.
Emily’s interests range from kick-boxing to reading to Crimson Tide football. But, her biggest jam is country music. If a PR spot opens up with a Nashville record label, we know we’re probably toast.
