Margaret Spalding Brady joined JS Creative as a graphic designer in 2011, but she’s a bit of a Renaissance Woman whose career also has touched archeology and interior décor. These worlds merge in her mantra: use creativity to discover and discovery to create. She is most grateful to be able to apply these skills to the greater good as she does with many of our not-for-profit clients.
She graduated in Graphic Design from The Creative Circus in Atlanta, where she earned five student awards for various branding and packaging projects in her portfolio. Before joining our team, she designed for the Carter’s/Oshkosh creative marketing department.
Earlier, Margaret earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in African Studies at The College of Charleston. She attained a minor in Studio Art at The University of Georgia School of the Arts in Cortona, Italy, where she lived and worked for several years to fully grasp Tuscan culture, art and language.
Career stops have included two years as a Field Archeologist and Lab Technician for Southeastern Archeological Services and a similar position at Historic Kenmore Plantation and George Washington’s Ferry Farm in Fredericksburg, Va. She also worked in creative positions for Maryanne Tamplin Leathers Interior Design, Inside Design, Hawthorne House Antiques & Interiors and Chatham House Interiors, Ltd.
Margaret grew up in Athens, Ga., but her penchant for discovery has led her to Guatemala, Peru, and Morocco, among other places. When she’s not immersed in creative projects, you might find her antique hunting, kickboxing or soaking up the South in our regional parks and mountains.
