Susie is the child of two restauranteurs, so it’s no big surprise that she finds herself assigned to our Chick-fil-A team. She spends the majority of her time at JS working on regional support and restaurant openings for the quick service chain.
Food has been a common career theme so far. She supported other major restaurant concepts during her college internships, including a coveted Omnicom-Grady Fellowship at Ketchum and BBDO in Atlanta. Earlier, she was an intern at the Georgia Aquarium, feeding her lifelong curiosity about nature while gaining experience with events, film shoots, digital media and more.
After graduating as valedictorian of her high school class, Susie fulfilled her dream of attending The University of Georgia, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in both Public Relations and Consumer Journalism. Throughout her time in Athens, she stayed busy as the Philanthropy chair in her social sorority, as a graphic designer for the Institute of Higher Education, and as an active member of UGA’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter.
She is the fourth of five children in her family and still loves hanging out with her siblings during her downtime. When they aren’t around, you’re likely to find Susie making something creative; curating cheeseboards, painting and photography are her current hobbies.
Susie’s parents emigrated from South Korea before she was born, but she knows that her last name is very unusual. If you ever meet another Cha, they are likely related. She’s yet to meet any long lost relatives in her hometown of LaGrange, Ga., but has plans to visit Korea in the near future.
