Dot Barnard is a graphic designer who works out of our Dallas office. She focuses much of her time on creative projects for Mattress Firm, Interstate Batteries and the Dallas Citizens Council.

Her versatility ranges from chalkboard art to logos and window displays, but her bread and butter for almost eight years was package design. Dot honed this expertise first as a package designer at Skagen, a Danish watch and jewelry lifestyle brand, and later as an Art Director with Fossil Group, which acquired Skagen in 2012.  Her increasing responsibilities there included art direction for photo shoots, global project collaboration and ultimately, setting the design aesthetic and creating the asset toolkit for all seasonal marketing campaigns.

Before that, Dot was the sole graphic and packaging designer for Molten USA, a sports retailer focused exclusively on volleyball-related gear, including production of   official game balls for NCAA and USA volleyball.

Dot earned a BFA in graphic design from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she also served as president of the student chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). During college, she was fortunate to land a design internship in London with Feast Creative, a boutique agency that specialized in branding and design for the theatre community.

Although she was born in Georgia, Dot’s formative years were spent near Reno, Nevada and Green Bay, Wisconsin. She’s proud of her Midwestern roots, which contribute to both her dedicated work ethic and her bubbly, “never-met-a-stranger” personality.

Away from the design table, Dot enjoys yoga, binge video streaming and all kinds of do-it-yourself projects.
